DMACC–ISU Connect

Connections in the making
Program benefits
The Connect program offers Des Moines Area Community College students planning to transfer to Iowa State University many opportunities:
- Dedicated academic advisors at Iowa State to ensure the courses taken at DMACC transfer smoothly to your intended Iowa State major
- Build connections to Iowa State prior to transferring by getting your ISUCard early and setting up an ISU email account
- Additional perks by paying the optional Iowa State Student Activity fee include participating in ISU intramurals, utilizing ISU workout facilities and gyms, joining ISU clubs and organizations (when eligible), and access to student ticket pricing for athletics and cultural events, etc.

- Professional and career development workshops
- Access to Iowa State Career Services resources, career fairs, and connections with potential employers
- Social media community
- Early-entry option for DMACC-bound high school seniors, jump-starting the planning process for future transfer (ex: application opens January 2024 for students who plan to start at DMACC in Fall 2024)
- Stress-free process when ready to apply for admission to Iowa State
