    The Workspace

    The Workspace is a place where artists can shine and where creativity can thrive. Visitors can also support local artists by buying a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Although the Workspace has changed since its inception in the 1960s, it is still a place for everyone to be creative.

    CyBowl and Billiards

    CyBowl & Billiards has been a staple of the ISU community for decades, serving as a destination for a fantastic night out. It is located conveniently right here on campus. Catering to students and the public, our refurbished space boasts eight state-of-the-art bowling lanes, five billiard tables, an arcade experience and an assortment of other activities for the perfect hang / party event.  CyBowl & Billiards offers walk-in games and group reservations.

    The Maintenance Shop

    In 1974, the ISU Student Union Board (SUB) converted the former MU maintenance shop into a live entertainment venue. Nearly 50 years later, the awesome music and vibration from the subs can still be heard and felt around the west-end of the MU. Event programming is still entirely facilitated by SUB students, who are guided by a professional staff member.

    Veenker Memorial Golf Course

    Veenker Memorial Golf Course is a public golf course that is owned and operated by ISU. In the winter, the hills of the course become a popular destination for sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

    MakerSpaces

    The Student Innovation Center serves as a hub of creation, innovation and collaboration. The SIC is equipped with a state-of-the-art makerspaces to support students, faculty and staff as they work to turn ideas into products. As the Center continues to grow, new technology and equipment are becoming available for Cyclones from every corner of campus to use.

    Cyclone Cinema started in 2011 as an affordable option for student entertainment on campus. Movie screenings are free and open to the public.

    Glassblowing studio

    The Gaffer's Guild is the artistic glassblowing club at ISU. The club is a unique organization -- membership is open to all students and members of the community. The club provides educational sessions where members can learn to blow glass.
