Striking landscape
A new mural, "Prairie Sky," celebrating the legacy of W. Robert Parks, president of Iowa State University from 1965 to 1986, will be dedicated on Friday, May 21, at 4 p.m., in the upper rotunda, Parks Library. The public is invited.

    Alumni on campus this week

    Approximately 400 alumni and guests will be on campus May 20-21 for the annual Alumni Days celebration. Special honorees are some 200 alumni, who are from the 50-year class of 1954. More.

    A new mural -- "Prairie Sky" -- will be dedicated in Parks Library Friday, May 21. The mural celebrates the legacy of former ISU president W. Robert Parks. More.

    ISU agronomist Walter Fehr will discuss his new no-trans-fat soybean oil when he joins ISU President Gregory Geoffroy on WOI Radio's "Talk of Iowa" Thursday, May 20, at 9 a.m. Submit questions for the call-in show (on 640 AM) to talk@iastate.edu.

    First summer session starts

    The first summer session started this week and runs through July 9. A second session begins June 14. And a variety of short courses (on topics ranging from "Greek and Roman Mythology" to "Triathalon Training") are available. See Summer School.
