Engineering career fair at Iowa State
Three ISU career fairs are among the largest in the nation.
Career services for Iowa State students rank among the nation's best, according to the latest edition of Kaplan's college guide.

Iowa State is among 35 universities included on Kaplan's "best career services" list. The list was based on a scientific survey of high school guidance counselors throughout the country.

"At Iowa State, we recognize that internships and other on-the-job experiences are a most important part of undergraduate education and a stepping stone to the job," said Beverly Madden, director of career services.

"At our 12 annual career fairs, students are encouraged not only to seek internships, but to meet with professionals in their future fields to find out about career opportunities. Three of these fairs (Agriculture, Business/Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Engineering) are the largest of their kind in the nation, drawing thousands of students."

The Kaplan guide is titled "The Unofficial, Unbiased Insider's Guide to the 320 Most Interesting Colleges."
