Regents approve Helser razing; Moody's upgrades ISU bond rating The north wing of Helser Hall will come down this summer, under action approved Jan. 17 by the Board of Regents, State of Iowa. The regents also approved the sale of nearly $22 million in bonds to pay for the first suite-style residence building in the planned Union Drive neighborhood. In a related matter, Moody's Investor Services announced Jan. 16 it has upgraded its rating on $127 million of outstanding bond debt at Iowa State. More.

Nominations, applications sought for associate provost position Provost Rollin Richmond is seeking nominations and applications for a new associate provost position. Current associate provost Faye Whitaker plans to retire within the next several months. The new position will be a 75 percent appointment for a tenured faculty member with primary responsibilities in faculty recruitment, development and evaluation, and policy, personnel and conduct matters.
