TBS Superstation on campus Friday; students may participate

A few Iowa State students may get their shot at 15 minutes of fame on Friday, Oct. 3.

A crew with TBS Superstation is filming various locations on campus Oct. 3 for a program called "Big Play Station Saturday." TBS will tape promotional "host wraps" to air during a movie broadcast before a college football game. It's similar in format to the TBS network's "Dinner and a Movie" show.

Two hosts, Anna and Michelle, will appear in 12 to 15 promotional segments to air during breaks in the movie "Nothing to Lose" on Oct. 25. They will wear Iowa State licensed apparel and pose with Cyclone props during shoots at Jack Trice Stadium, Lake LaVerne, Memorial Union and central campus. They'll feature beauty shots of campus, include a little Iowa State history and trivia, and then segue back to the movie in each recorded spot.

TBS producers invite ISU students to join them in the taping at 11 a.m. Friday in front of Curtiss Hall. They hope students will turn out in their best cardinal and gold Iowa State wearables, ready to answer a few trivia questions and sing the fight song. Students will be asked to sign a release before appearing on camera.

TBS has visited several university campuses for the show, most recently, the University of Missouri at Columbia.
