Find out how to obtain web space for a site. If several people will be working on the site, you'll need to know how to give others access to the site.

Know the policies, legal issues

All web page developers are responsible for the content of their pages and ensuring that those pages comply with university policies and state and federal laws. Check out information on ISU's Code of Computer Ethics, using ISU marks and copyrights.

Use the style guide

Web sites for ISU units or departments should adhere to the ISU Style Guide. A variety of ISU templates also are available.

Learning more

There are many online manuals, how-to books, and software programs to help you build web pages. On campus, Information Technology Services and Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching classes can help you improve your web-building skills.
