Web Support ServicesThis unit, which is part of Academic Information Technologies, develops and maintains web pages for ISU units. Fees are based on the level of service, which can range from one-time web development projects to "full-service" development and maintenance of a web site. Visit the Web Development Services web site for more information. Information Technology ServiceThe Instructional Technology Center supports the use of all technology on campus, including web page development. And while the primary mission of ITS is to support classroom instruction, professional services also are available for non-instructional entities. Faculty can receive no-charge support for the development of web pages for class, including WebCT courses. The ITS also provides professional web page services for non-instructional ISU entities on a fee basis. Professional staff at the ITS specialize in instructional development, classroom applications of technology, multimedia, graphics, and video production. For more information, visit the ITS web site. Administrative Technology ServicesIf you are interested in going beyond a web site and want to create interactive web applications that accept transactions, access a database, or possibly interface with other systems, then Administrative Technology Services is the unit to contact. The Administrative Technology Services provides fee-based services to assist you with these and similar web development projects. Visit the Administrative Technology Services web site for more details. Hiring studentsMany ISU students are skilled in web page development. If you hire students to maintain your web site, make sure they follow the "ISU Style Guide." Units who use student web developers should always have one or more staff members who oversee the web site and know how to make changes on pages. |
