January 5, 2005 Students organizing tsunami relief projectA group of Iowa State University students is organizing a campus-wide, fund-raising effort to aid victims of the South Asian tsunami. The students will solicit donations for tsunami relief from the campus community as well as others. Staff in the Student Activities Center and the ISU Memorial Union will assist in the effort. Other individuals and organizations in the community who would like to be part of the Tsunami Relief Project should contact Alison Lima (alima@iastate.edu), a senior in biology who is leading the effort, or Richard Reynolds (rsreynol@iastate.edu), director of the Memorial Union. |
