Poetry And Prose


Jane Smiley, professor of English and winner of the Pulitzer 
Prize, will be among those featured in the English 
department's new literary review, Flyway.

The publication will feature fiction and nonfiction, as well 
as poetry reviews. 

Smiley's essay, "Puissance," deals with overcoming horse 
jumping and other fears.

Flyway, which will be published spring, fall and winter, will 
be distributed nationally. The fall issue will be out in 
October.

Subscriptions are $18 for one year or $32 for two years. 
Foreign subscriptions are an additional $3. Send check
